Team sports are too rough on your body. You wear down cartilage. You break bones. You twist ankles. You pull muscles. The speed of the games and the constant juking and contact causes all kinda of physical problems once you hit your mid 30s. Individual sports such as triathlons and tennis keep you in great shape but result in less trauma to your body.
